Brainstorming!!
01.31.04 (2:27 pm) [edit]
Forgot to add this, was thinking y/day about designing a chat or messageboard type website which would be wholly and totally geared towards Naija people who lived and worked in the UK. As a means of networking, locating, socialising, etc.... Now I know this concept probably already exists, but who cares?! I know I dont! So what I'm getting at is this "Anybody got a few ideas as to how to go about it?" Like in terms of advertising, material content, etc. Want it to be unique, and not just another useless website... so get those creative juices flowing and holla at me with a message or two.
Also a quick holla to those people who read my stuff(why they do I'm not quite sure?!) but hey cheers! Yeah, well I'm gone!!

What's what??
01.31.04 (2:15 pm) [edit]
Took a break y/day, just chillin & catching up with folk ... you know how it is 8) Well what do I talk about today?? Hmmm! :? Was watching the Australian Open final between Justine & Kim early this morning and was wondering about how the camera men always seem to be looking up the girls skirts or down their tops whenever they served... (not that I was complaining or anything) just intrigued... Justine won yet again, just so you know I was rooting for Kim to win but hey her losing had nothing to do with mua! One thing I will say for women's tennis, there are some fine arse looking babes on court nowadays, gone are the days of Kournikova dominance .. "hello boys!" seems so appropriate now! :P
Talking about sports, went for a run in Hyde park y/day morning (that's in central london for those of you who dont know where it is!) apart from the chilly weather, the place was full of roller-bladers... now those guys are a menace to society! If I had my way, I'd ban the whole lot of them. One of those id-giots nearly killed yours truly, since he wasn't watching where he was going but trying to show off at the same time. Well, I gave the fool what for!!
Off to a party later tonight somehwere in Maida Vale(Very posh!!) so gotta get my hair cut, my nails done, beard trimmed,(just joking abt the nails!) but looking forward to letting off some steam and getting down! Back to Newcastle tomorrow, so I'm gonna make the most of it. Btw, any parties I should know about going down? :? My boi, thought this was all a waste of time and a bit too "Oyinbo" in nature for us Naija people, but since he read a few other blogs, he has been hooked. Watch this space for his blog coming soon.....
Gotta "go see a man about a dog" ... but as they say "I'll be back!" :P

Airport's ......what a drag!
01.29.04 (8:51 pm) [edit]
Snowed like hell y/day night, over 5 inches in and around Newcastle. Had to catch a flight at 7.30am, was safe to say that it was a waste of time. Got there only to find out that the run-way had been closed since the night before. WTF, why was it announced on the news or summin? I got up early an all!
Get there and have to sit around twiddling my thumbs for hrs. Eventually re-open the run-way at 11.45, only for the blasted airlines to start cancelling flights left right and centre. My flight wasn't thank God! but was re-scheduled to leave at 3.30pm ...... can you believe it another 4hrs or so?? Yours truly went ape at the timid counter girl, but calmed down when I got an up-grade.... what? If you dont ask you dont get!! :P
Has anybody noticed how people dont know how to dress anymore? Sitting in an airport concourse gives you loads of time to sit and watch people in minute detail(scrutiny!). Colour co-ordination is a thing of the past, saw this lady(good looking if I may say so) but damn her dress sense was shocking! Green slacks, pink top, brown suede jacket and to crown it all she had a white wooly hat with white ankle boots..... shocking!
But I must say all these Oyinbo people are dire when it comes to clothes. Go to any airport and you'll see the worst concentration of criminal dressing ever. Newcastle isn't exactly known for it's class or style somaybe I need to go easy. Also another thing, what is it about airports that make women play-up big time? Must have had at least 5 women try to pick me up while I waited for my flight ...... I should be glad abi? Well hell no, they were all ugly looking things. One even had a double chin, wtf?! Asking me if I lived in London? Told her no, next thing I know she's offering to put my arse up for the w/end if I'm stuck for somewhere to stay! My brain screamed fuck off!! but my mouth said thanks!
To cut along story short, I'm in London (finally) after close to 9hrs wait and rearing to go and have a blast with my boi's. Closing for today and getting off my laptop, which by the way is a god-send for stuff like this. Btw, must say I'm beginning to like all this therapy stuff a bit therapeutic to get it off my chest especially after all the stress at Newcastle. Yeah well.....peace out till the next time.

What the heck?!
01.28.04 (8:49 pm) [edit]
Well, so much for never writing stuff online ...that didnt last long. I guess I'm inspired by what I've read in other blog's. Not to say I still dont think it's weird writing your thougths down on the worldwide web for all and sundry to read and analyse, but hey what the heck! Why not?!
Not a bad day, as days go... work in the morning, half day hence the time to write this (otherwise I dont have the time to fart about writing shyte for people to read!). Newcastle is freezing cold as usual and the snow.. well the less said about that the better. Is it me or do people really get arsy when it's cold? My boss had a face like a wet blanket on him the whole day today. My only consolation is that I was there for half the day. Feel sorry for the poor buggers who had to spend the whole day with him. What a prick!!
Out for dinner with some friend's then catching a plane to London first thing. Hopefully the weather will be better down south. Welleither way,I'll leave this god forsaken city for a few days and take a well deserved break if I say so myself. Anybody know where the sun's gone??? :?
As an after-thought, is this just some type of therapy? Where the writer gets to unburden his/her soul to absolute strangers without fear of come-back? Not sure if I'm losing it or this really is just a time wasting exercise, either way only .... time will tell. I'm off now, already running late as it is. :P
